On Nov. 8, 2010, the owner of a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado had towed a car trailer housing a Classic Hot Rod valued at $180,000 to a location in Burbank, CA. The owner had parked the vehicles outside the hotel where he was staying while attending a car show where he was set to receive an award for his Classic car.

In the early morning hours, unknown thieves stole the Chevrolet Silverado with the trailer and Classic car in tow. The theft was reported to the Burbank Police Department and the vehicle information was entered into the National Crime Information Center database, activating the hidden LoJack unit inside the Chevrolet Silverado. Unfortunately, neither the Classic car or trailer had a LoJack system installed.

Several hours later, Los Angeles County Task Force officers picked up the signal and tracked the Chevrolet Silverado to Avenue 23 and Pasadena Avenue in Los Angeles and located the Chevrolet truck but not the stolen trailer containing the Classic car. The truck was processed by the police and later returned to its owner.

The next day, deputies from LA Sheriffs Pico River Station received a call regarding an abandoned trailer. When they arrived at the location, they located the trailer parked on the street. When they opened the trailer, they found the Classic still inside, undamaged. The happy owner responded and took possession of his Classic and trailer.
